Let's get the big one out of the way: EZ Cards will NEVER sell, rent, trade, or hand off your personal information to any third party — not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not to that one company that always seems to know what you Googled. Your data stays with us, full stop.
We don't run creepy ad-tracking networks across your other websites either. The only people looking at your flashcards are you and (if you choose) your teammates. 🙌
The cookies we actually use
Sadly, these cookies have zero calories and won't help with a study-night sugar craving. They're the small, boring kind your browser stores so the site works properly. Here's the whole menu:
Authentication
Keeps you logged in so you don't have to type your password on every single page. You're welcome.
Sessions
Remembers what you're doing as you move around the app, so your study session doesn't reset itself.
Functionality
Holds little preferences (like security tokens) that keep the app safe and working smoothly.
No advertising cookies, no third-party trackers, no funny business.
Our 2-year data retention policy
We don't like hoarding data we don't need (digital clutter is still clutter). So here's the deal:
- If an account sits inactive for 2 years, it becomes eligible for removal. We may delete the account and its associated personal data to keep things tidy.
- Any flashcards belonging to a removed account become the property of EZ Cards. They may be kept, anonymised, or reused to improve the shared learning library for everyone.
Translation: log in once in a while and your stuff stays yours. Easy. 😊
Your data, your rights
It's your data, and you're entitled to a copy of it. You can request a report of the personal information we hold about you any time by reaching out through our Contact page.
Heads-up — please be patient: we're a small operation and we don't yet have a fancy automated “download my data” button. Every request is handled by an actual human, which means significant delays are to be expected. We promise we'll get to it — it just might take a while. Thanks for understanding! 🙏
